DonorAdvisors are financial service professionals who have
completed the required course of study and are trained
to assist individuals with charitable planning. They are
committed to providing philanthropic services to their clients
through the Global Gift Fund and bring to the charitable
giving arena years of experience in sound financial planning.
DonorAdvisors provide clients with valuable information and
education about Global Gift Funds and other charitable giving
options, and play an integral role in the establishment of
Global Gift Funds. DonorAdvisors can set up Global Gift Funds
for themselves as well as their clients.
As a DonorAdvisor, you can assist your clients in:
Selecting the appropriate charitable vehicle
Creating a Global Gift Fund
Selecting the appropriate
investment mix for your fund that meets your individual
charitable needs
Identifying and designating charitable
beneficiaries
Networking with donors with similar interests
Our DonorAdvisors receive training and education in the
Global Gift Fund Program and charitable planning. The following
steps will guide you through the process of becoming a DonorAdvisor:
Self-study materials will be provided by the Global
Gift Fund that cover an overview of charitable giving,
outline
the code of ethics in philanthropy, and provide details
about the Global Gift Fund, fund management and services
for Donors
and GiftAdvisors.
Return the exam answers, completed
Memorandum
of Understanding, proof of Errors and Omissions
insurance, evidence of
licensing and a copy of your current ADV Part I and
part II (for Registered
Investment Advisors only.)
Receive acknowledgement
from the Global Gift Fund of your appointment as a DonorAdvisor.
